What to Prepare Before a First Consultation
When you contact us for the first time about transporting a transformer or a thermal turbine, we need specific data to start the route engineering. The more precise the information, the faster we can calculate the dynamic load distribution per axle and verify that the viaducts on the planned route can support the passage.
Bring the following items to the initial meeting or have them ready before the call:
- Dimensions and weight of the component, including any packaging or support structures.
- Axle configuration of the transport vehicle you plan to use, or the expected number of axles if the vehicle has not yet been selected.
- Origin and destination addresses, plus any intermediate points where the load may need to be transferred between modes.
- Permits or restrictions already obtained for the route, if any.
- Photographs or diagrams of the component showing attachment points and center of gravity.
We will use this data to build a physical model of the load and simulate its behavior on the road. The model tells us whether the bridge deck can handle the stress, whether the turning radius is sufficient, and whether the pavement can support the weight without damage. If the simulation shows a problem, we adjust the route or the vehicle configuration before the truck leaves the yard.
This preparation avoids last-minute surprises and keeps the project on schedule. A first consultation that starts with clear numbers and drawings saves days of back-and-forth later.
If you are unsure about any of the items above, send us the available information anyway. We will tell you what is missing and how to obtain it without delaying the process.
